The development of Atlantic Hills kicked off around 2018 with road infrastructure being upgraded along with various groundworks and platforming. This 72-hectare industrial development opened doors to prospective tenants and investors and contributed to much needed transport infrastructure along the N7 as areas such as Burgundy Estate and Sunningdale expanded. Located on the urban edge, Atlantic Hills connected the areas of Durbanville and Table View with the upgrade of the Malibongwe turnoff.
Location:
Atlantic Hills offers direct access onto the M12 and immediate access onto the N7 and M13. Furthermore easy access to Montague Gardens, Killarney Gardens, Atlantis, Durbanville, Parklands and Plattekloof. Situated next to the popular Atlas Gardens business park is the first phase of the Atlantic Hills development.
Well positioned for future city growth, while offering tenants who would like to be closer to home or move their existing premises from the more traffic-congested areas. Having concluded various sales and rentals within Atlas Gardens over the last three years we experienced an increased amount of enquiries from companies wanting to relocate to this area. Atlantic Hills will also be integrated into the City of Cape Town’s transport system, providing public transport access from Milnerton, Parklands, Plattekloof and Durbanville.
About the park:
Abland was the owner and developer of the site until the last stand was sold in 2024. Of the site’s 72 hectares, 45 hectares have been earmarked for light industrial business. Units range from 600m² to 100,000m² with sufficient power to meet low and high use purchasers or tenants. The development is ideal for distribution, warehousing and cold storage businesses. Two areas of the business park have been earmarked for conservation, primarily to protect a rare species of Renosterveld fynbos that only grows on granite found in this area. The reserve will be fully environmentally protected and offer tenants the pleasure of a green space near their place of work.
The first large scale building that was erected was that of SAFT (South African Fruit Terminals), followed by a business park consisting of seven units ranging between 500 and 1,500 square meters. One of the three Amazon data centres is located here as well as facilities for Eagle Lighting and Atlantic Hills Cold Storage.
A unique new offering:
Mixed-use developments like Atlantic Hills are quickly becoming a sought-after commodity for both tenants and investors. Atlantic Hills Business Park is one of Cape Town’s most attractive new developments. In 2022 Assetpoint sold a 40,000 sqm site to private investors. The development of the site is planned for three large distribution centres of 6,500 square meters each.
